Our Pre-Intermediate English Course builds on the fundamental concepts covered in the Beginner Course and is intended for students who are prepared to advance to a higher level of fluency and sophistication in their language skills. This two-month course provides an extensive examination of the English language at an intermediate level and consists of three one-hour sessions each week in a one-on-one environment. At $797, this course is an investment in improving your language abilities and developing greater competence and confidence.
Weeks 1-2: Basics Review and Extension
In order to provide a seamless transition for students, the course starts with a quick recap of the essential ideas taught in the beginner course. Building on this base, the emphasis switches to improving conversational skills, enlarging vocabulary, and reiterating grammar principles. Participants take part in exercises that promote applying newly learnt ideas in real-world situations.
Weeks 3–4: Sentence structure and intermediate grammar
These weeks, as we go further into grammar, we’ll be focusing on intermediate-level ideas like verb patterns, conditional sentences, and intricate sentence structures. By use of focused tasks and real-world scenarios, learners enhance their comprehension of grammatical principles and utilize them to articulate increasingly complex concepts in written and spoken English.
Weeks 5 and 6: Writing and Reading Comprehension
The capacity to read, understand, and produce written material is a critical aspect of language competency. As they study a variety of texts—such as essays, short tales, and articles—they improve their reading comprehension abilities. Writing activities emphasize the development of paragraphs, the production of coherent texts, and the coherent expression of ideas.
Weeks 7-8: Fluency in Speaking and Listening
The intermediate speaking and listening abilities are the focus of these weeks, which build on the foundation covered in the introductory course. For the purpose of improving their conversational fluency, participants participate in talks, debates, and oral presentations. Exercises involving listening cover a range of accents and situations, preparing students for a range of communication situations.
